Happy Monday, fashionistas! I am just SO, SO excited for this week! That's right, folks...it's Back to School Fashion Week, every day this week, right here on my blog!
I don't know about you, but after a summer of shorts and t-shirts, I get
kind of OK, REALLY excited to wear some of my dressier clothes again! Since so many of you are in the midst of back to school shopping season, whether you're a teacher or not, I thought I would share a whole week of style inspiration and shopping tips with you. If you're wanting to share your own back to school outfit(s), I will let you know how to link up at the the end of today's post!
Today's Outfit Inspiration:
Carry your summer knit dresses into fall by adding a basic cardigan or denim jacket, and dress them up for school with fun accessories, like a simple belt or statement necklace.
My navy striped knit dress from Gap is no longer available, but find a TON of cute knit dresses on sale at LOFT here
(and get an additional 50% off sale price for limited time!)
Back to School Shopping Tip of the Day:
Don't be afraid to ask the sales associate for assistance. She is familiar with the store's products and has an eye for style, and would probably love to help you put together a stylish ensemble. When I go into a store and find a piece I love, like a patterned skirt or printed top, I always ask the sales associate what they would recommend pairing with it. They have some really unique ideas (color combos, mixing prints) that I wouldn't normally think of on my own, and I usually end up loving their suggestions!
I would love for you to link up your back to school style inspiration, whether you're a teacher blogger or not! You can model your outfit, or just show images of the individual pieces...have fun with it! Just grab the image from the top, and link your post back to my blog. I would love to give you a shout out in return...Be sure to comment and let me know you are linking up!
I will see you right back here tomorrow for Day 2 of Back to School Fashion Week!
