Baby Boy Shower

I know baby showers really have nothing to do with fashion OR teaching, but I hosted one this weekend for one of my best girlfriends and it turned out so cute, I just knew you would want to hear all about it!

All of the hostesses with the hot mama:

The guest of honor and I have friends since middle school!  I'm so blessed to have Amanda as a life-long friend.

After Amanda told us hostesses that she plans to have a  fish-themed nursery, we knew a nautical themed shower would be perfect!  Here are the cute inviations:

Find them here on Etsy.

We found a cute "Ahoy, it's a boy" pendant banner to coordinate with the invitations.  The momma-to-be plans to hang it up to welcome baby home from the hospital once he arrives in February.  We served cucumber sandwiches, veggie pizza, a delicious raspberry dip, pretzel chips and a mustard dip, fruit salad and baby footprint sugar cookies to our guests.  Here is the mama-to-be standing next to the yummy assortment.

The guests each wrote a message to Baby inside the front cover of this sweet book.  If you haven't ever seen "Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site," it is the perfect baby boy gift.  Such an adorable story for a little guy!

I'll be back later on this week with an idea for displaying your Christmas cards that are bound to start rolling in shortly.   Thanks for stopping by!  Have a WONDERFUL short week, and Happy Turkey Day! :)
