Happy Friday, fashionistas! Woohoo! I've been absent from the Five for Friday linky party for quite some time, so I'm extra pumped for today's post! Enjoy! :)
I picked up this long sleeved tee up at LOFT last week, and it's the best investment I've made in quite awhile! It looks great with leggings for lounging or running errands, or I can throw on my pink puffer vest and black skinnies for work. It even works with a cowl scarf or fun necklace for the weekend! Find the grey tee here.
I
updated my Wise Writers bulletin board to include the steps of the
writing process, including mneumonic devices for revising and editing.
Find these cute posters on Teachers Pay Teachers, here.
To
help cure the January blues, I've been drinking A LOT of Sea Salt
Carmelicious coffees this week! Thank goodness for Christmas gift cards
from my students to get me through these long, COLD days! Is it spring yet? :)
My fourth graders have been working hard this week on our Reading Street skill, comparing and contrasting. I found the idea for this anchor chart on Pinterest, and it has been so helpful to have up in the room to cue students when searching for clue words in the text.
We've
also plunged head first into our geometry unit. These FREE posters
from Teachers Pay Teachers have served as excellent reminders of our
complicated vocabulary! Unfortunately, I can't find the link for you :(
With
yesterday being the 100th day of school, and celebrating TWO students' birthdays,
it's safe to say it was a pretty crazy day in fourth grade!
The students were greeted with a note and treat on their desks to start off the day!
Has anyone seen the iphone app that makes you look old? Another teacher showed it to me, and used it for a writing activity with her students today. Such a fun idea for the 100th day! I enjoyed showing my students what their 100 year old teacher would look like!
For
math today, I hid 100 Hershey's kisses around the room with numbers
1-100 on the bottom. Students seached around the room for the kisses,
and then had to write a math problem for which their number was the
answer. Before finding their next kiss, students colored in the
hundreds chart on the SMART Board so we knew once we had found them all!

Whew! What a crazy week! This fashionista is MORE than ready for the weekend to be here! Hope to see you back here soon! :)
Find me on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Blog Lovin!
I love the idea of hiding 100 Hershey's in the room! We start the school year this Tuesday and then we will begin counting down to day 100!
ReplyDeleteThe shirt at the top is adorable! I have one almost just like it so I will have to try to style it like you did! :) But I loved the 100 day ideas you had!! Especially the Hershey kiss one!!!
