The 9 Blogs I am Nominating:
Jenna's 11 questions for me:
1. Why did you start your blog?
Ever since the invention of Pinterest, I have been a blog hoppin' gal! I loved (and still do!) reading fashion and teaching blogs for inspiration. But then one day I thought, hey, I have some pretty great ideas to share, too! So, The Fashionista Teacher was born!
2. What is your favorite blog (besides mine)?
Oooooh, this is tough. It is so hard to choose just one, but I have to go with Schoolgirl Style.
3. What is your favorite T.V. show?
I hate to admit this, but I am a little obsessed with The Bachelor. I know I waste a couple of hours of my life every time I watch it, but it's my guilty pleasure. Sine the teachers at my school share my Bachelor obsession, we had our very own Bachelor bracket contest going during Sean's season!
4. Any family traditions?
Yes, lots! But I'll just share one. We are leaving on Wednesday for Lake Okoboji, where my extended family goes every year for the 4th of July. We stay at the same old hotel, eat at the same places, watch the same fireworks show, you get the point! But none of it ever gets old because we just enjoy being together and creating memories!
5. Have you met any celebrities?
I am a pretty big Husker football fan, so I count the players as celebrities. I chaperoned my sister's dance group trip to Orlando this winter break, where the team also happened to be. Her group danced at the Capital One Bowl, where the Huskers played this year, and our hotel also happened to be right across the street from theirs! While we spotted quite a few coaches and players out and about, my favorite and nicest player to actually meet was Kenny Bell, who was so kind to take his picture with us. I was also pretty thrilled to meet Cinderella on the same trip, too! :)
6. If you could meet one person dead or alive, who would it
be and what would you do?
I would love to meet Kate Middleton. She just seems so classy and poised, yet down to earth. We would go shopping...duh! She has amazing style!
7. Favorite alcoholic drink?
I'm kind of a wino. I love a sweet, white wine during the summer (moscato is my fave!) or a glass of red (any variety!) in the winter.
8. No kids, no hubby, no work. What are you doing with
your time?
No kids yet (besides Lucy Lou) but if I have the house all to myself, I usually make a mess! I've found out Logan does the same thing when he's gone for work, so I guess we must just clean up for each other! And if I get cabin fever while the hubby is away, I could definitely be found at the mall doing a little mucho damage!
9. Where is your favorite place to shop?
Most of you know I work part-time at Loft, and I only applied there because it's my favorite! My other faves are JCrew/JCrew Factory and Target.
10. Bath or shower?
Definitely shower. We have a huge, brand new soaking tub (with jets!) in our house and it has never been used in the 13 months we've lived here! I'm usually in such a hurry to get ready (this girl is ALWAYS running late!), and I am always on the go all the way up until bedtime, so a bath is just never in the cards for me! I'll have to make time soon I guess!
11. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Right where I am. Yes, I do wish the weather in Nebraska was a little warmer, but I truly love my home! Plus, since our move to Elkhorn/Omaha a year ago, we've been blessed with great jobs, fantastic neighbors, solid friends and a church we love, so I just know this is right where God planned for us to be, fulfilling His plan for our lives!

You are SO super-sweet for nominating my blog for the Liebster Award, but I'm not sure I qualify, because I've been nominated twice before.
ReplyDeleteOddly, in reading through the comments above mine, I noticed the Okoboji reference...we used to live in Omaha, too! I even have a Pinterest board called "O! How we miss you!" Check it out, and tell the big O! I said "hey" from back down south. I have tons of friends in Elkhorn - you and I just might have to meet in real life.
