Black and White, Day to Night

Happy Tuesday, lovely followers!  I don't know about you, but I just LOVED that three day weekend a little too much.  I think I might start a three-day weekend every weekend petition.  Who wants to join me?  Logan and I had fun cheering on the Huskers on Saturday, enjoyed time with family on Sunday and relaxed ALL day on Monday.  I just felt so much more refreshed coming back to school today than I have so far this year!

When I work part-time at LOFT (which I also did this weekend), I know one of the wishes clients often have is for items that can be worn for work, as well as out after office hours without looking too "businessy."  Today I want to share a simple outfit that can be easily transformed from a day in the classroom or office to a night out with the girls or a dinner date with friends.

The "classroom/office" look contains two of my teacher must-haves, a maxi skirt and denim jacketFor a more traditional office job, try a black blazer and tan pencil skirt instead.

Shopping Guide:
Maxi Skirt: LOFT  (mine available here, similar one here)  Denim Jacket: JCrew Factory (similar here)
Yellow statement necklace: Very Jane (available here)
Striped shell: LOFT (same shell, different colors here, and a similar black and white shell here)
