Five for Friday

I know I really enjoy learning more about the people behind the blogs I read, so today I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for "Five for Friday" to share more about myself with you, my fabulous readers!  I know I am not the only nosy one out there, right? :)  I will post five random photos from my week, so you can get to know me a little better.  Make me one less person for you to Facebook stalk this weekend.  You're welcome in advance.

I spent my Saturday morning with my two favorites, Logan and Lucy.  Our day is made when Lucy comes out of nowhere and just plops down on one of our laps.  She is definitely part of the family, and she knows it, too!

Logan and I made a last minute trip to Des Moines this weekend to get away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives.  We both have very good friends whom we love to visit there, and we love the city!  We spent an afternoon with one of my best friends, Katie, and her hubby, Jason, at a local vineyard.  Moments like these cause me to reflect on the amazing friendships God has blessed me with!

We have been studying crayfish in science as part of our 'Structures of Life' unit.  To celebrate commemorate the last day with our crayfish before their adoptions, our regular science block became the "Crayfish Olympics."

Goodbye, crayfish.  I wish I could say I miss you.
Every Thursday, Logan and I try to do some sort of "date night."  Our date nights range from anything like pizza or happy hour to driving around looking at Christmas lights or a walk around the neighborhood.  It gives us something to look forward to during the week, and a great chance to catch up on life without distractions.  No phones allowed (except for pictures).  Last night we went to one of my all-time favorite places, Kona Grill!  I ordered my usual, avocado eggrolls and a California roll. I (of course) forgot to take a picture until after I had scarfed down my delicious food, so I snapped a photo of another couple's meal waiting by the kitchen.  Same thing, right? :)

Logan is running the Lincoln half-marathon on Sunday and is in carbo-load mode!  He and his running buddies are having a pasta feed tonight, so I was busy in the kitchen putting together the boys' favorite, spaghetti casserole.  Yes, those are Kraft singles on the top.  So delicious and so easy!

Hope you enjoyed my first Five for Friday!  Have a wonderful weekend, everybody!

  9. Hi Jenna! You are a "no reply" blogger, so I couldn't respond to your e-mail......so I decided to click on your name and see if you had a blog...and you did! I just wanted to let you know that I just checked the availability of the wedges, and they TOTALLY have tons of sizes left in every color! Just in case you really were interested in getting them!
