Happy Friday, fashionistas! This was our first week back from Spring Break, and I couldn't be more ready for the weekend! I thought going on a relaxing Spring Break trip would leave me rested and refreshed for 4th quarter, but I think I got a little TOO used to the beach bum lifestyle, because I am EXHAUSTED after a full week back at school! Take me back to the Bahamas! :-)
I'm so excited to be linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching blog for this week's Five For Friday! I know it's been awhile, so I'm looking forward to updating you about all of the happenings in my life!
1. Bahamas Vacay
Logan and I took a super AMAZING trip to the Bahamas over Spring Break. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort, and I was in heaven! This was my first time in the Caribbean, and I had a fabulous time!
My evening dinner attire
The water was truly breathtaking!
2. Easter Egg Craft
I am in charge of the April activity with our 1st grade buddies, and I love how this craft turned out last year! We read Jan Brett's The Easter Egg and made these colorful eggs using white and black construction paper, colorful tissue paper pieces and Elmer's glue. Just glue the tissue on the white paper and layer the black egg cut-out on top. Easy enough for the first graders, but still fun for the fourth graders! I can't wait to make them again with the kiddos this year!
3. My Monday Uniform
My favorite outfit for a spring Monday is a comfy maxi skirt and jean jacket! I added some fun accessories and instantly felt ready to face the day in style!
Lucky you! LOFT is having their Friends and Family event this weekend, and their spring line just happens to include some super cute maxis! Find a versatile striped maxi skirt here, a black halter maxi dress here and a loungy maxi skirt here.
4. Moon Writing
My students are just finishing up their creative writing stories about traveling to the moon, and let me tell you, I have some CREATIVE fourth graders in my class! They are having so much fun with their imaginations! Be sure to check out this post from last year about this fun creative writing project.
5. You didn't think I could write a Five for Friday post without a dog picture, did you? :-) I have a good excuse for this pic today because it's Miss Rosie's birthday today! Happy Birthday, sweet girl!
(She looks terribly unhappy in this hat, but she really is a happy little pup!)
Thanks for popping over today, friends! Have a FANTASTIC weekend!
Jenna,
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Five for Friday! Rosie has the same look on her face as my dog did when I made her wear a Santa hat/beard combo for a family photo! Maxi skirts and denim jackets are a staple in my wardrobe! Happy Friday!
